An air dome is the EIT space age structure for the new millennium. It is simply a breakthrough in building technology and cost reduction. At a time when national building cost are pushing over $100/square foot and internationally even more. This is the choice of the millennium.
Wonderful! Sleek! Modern! Practical! Economical! Entertaining! Fun! All these powerful words describe the Eagle Air Dome, but when you see it ... you'll find your own!
Running in sizes from 30' round, up to a staggering 300' wide, by any length you can imagine. You can even design one end narrow and the other end wide, turn corners, add new sections for length in the future, and even run tunnel walkways to additional satellite rooms for restrooms, offices, etc.
The Eagle Air Dome is designed as a state-of-the-art, modern, all-purpose, portable or permanent edifice. Right now America has a National Building and Safety code for permanent use of this streamlined structure. Easy to install and remove (about 1/2 day to 1 day depending upon size). The actual inflation and deflation time runs approx. 1 to 3 hours.
Anchoring systems consist of two major factors. A.- the side walls have metal plates at the bottom edges that anchor onto 4' auger stakes or are bolted into your foundation or floor. B.- built into the heavy material is a large cable net that also anchors into the ground or floor system. This is contrary to most air dome designs, that instead widely place their cable strands across the top of the dome. Our engineers have determined that over long periods of time this causes excessive erosion from the weather making it look much like rust and slippage on the top, deteriorating the vinyl.
Traditional doors are normally included. Yet, EIT offers additional options such as steel, glass, or wooded double-doors and even revolving doors. Depending upon the size, the choice is for 4 to 8 revolving doors at each main public entrance. Also included are additional inside, zipper-type emergency exits
In addition, EIT offers the option of a custom-designed, tailored frame lobby tent that is connected to the main entrance doors. These are very appealing with windows, carpeting, commercial size plants and even soft music. Then there is a positive feeling of liberty and excitement when stepping through the nice revolving doors into the beautiful dome!
Air regulation and temperature control systems consist first of the large blower, (this is used primarily to inflate the structure) then an air pressure gauge, automatically and quietly kicking on the blower each time a door is opened and some air escapes, keeping the dome at a constant level.
Weather conditions won't matter inside the air dome. They are now in use in the Arabian Desert and in the North Pole!
The wind stress from passing storms will not find a usual flat surface to beat against, but rather a curved surface allowing winds to pass over. Think of the top 1/3 of a basketball being placed upon a table top. This is much the same contour of the air dome design.
Safety factors of the Eagle Air Domes are the greatest of any building we know of worldwide!
Simply add air conditioning and heating units outside and combine it with the blower, air ducking and the temperature control gage inside. This will hold it at 72 degrees year round (or what ever temperature is your choice). When heavy snow comes, it will usually slide right off the top. If their is a buildup, then the warm air inside, will melt it.
You will find your yearly utility cost greatly reduced over conventional style buildings. The Eagle Air Dome white material both reflects the heat from the sun and has a large "R" factor, helping to cut cost from 30% up to 50%!
